PRIVACY POLICY
The Internet is an extraordinary tool. It has the power to change the way we live, and you can already see that potential. With a few clicks of the mouse, you can follow news and facts, and purchase goods and services. It's important to Multi-Doc to help our customers maintain their privacy while enjoying the benefits of all the Internet has to offer.
We believe your business is for no one else. Your privacy is important to you... and to us. So we will protect the information you share with us. To protect your privacy, Multi-Doc follows several principles in line with global practices regarding the protection of privacy and customer information.
We will not sell or give your name, address, phone number, email address, credit card number, or any other information to anyone. We will use modern security measures to protect your information from unauthorized users.

We will ask you if we need information that personally identifies you (personal information) or allows us to contact you. Typically, this information is requested when you create a login to register on the site, or when you download free software, enter a contest, order an e-newsletter, or join a limited-access premium site. We use your personal information for four primary purposes:
To make the site easier for you to use because you won't need to enter your information more than once.
To help you find software, services, and information more easily.
To help us create more relevant content for you.
To inform you of product updates, special offers, updated information, and other new services from Multi-Doc.

SECURITY
Multi-Doc has taken strong measures to ensure the security of your personal information and that your choices regarding its use are respected. We take appropriate measures to protect your data from loss, misuse, unauthorized access or disclosure, alteration, or destruction.
We guarantee the security of YOUR e-commerce transactions 100%. When you place an order or access your personal account information, you use a secure server with SSL software, which encrypts your personal information before it is sent over the Internet. SSL is one of the most secure encryption technologies available.
Furthermore, your transactions are insured in accordance with the Fair Credit Billing Act. The code stipulates that your bank cannot be held liable for fraudulent charges to your credit card exceeding $50.00. If your bank is held liable for $50.00 or less, we will cover the liability provided that the fraudulent use of your credit card is not due to your fault but rather to the purchase made from us through our secure server. In the event of unauthorized use of your credit card, you must notify your credit card provider in accordance with their reporting and notification rules and procedures.
Multi-Doc strictly protects the security of your personal information and respects your choices regarding its use. We carefully protect your data from loss, misuse, unauthorized access, disclosure, alteration, or destruction.
Your personal information will never be shared with other companies without your permission, except under the conditions specified above. Within our company, data is stored on a password-protected server with very limited access. Your information will be stored in Canada, in the province of Quebec, where Multi-Doc, its subsidiaries, affiliates, or agents are located.
You also have a very important responsibility to protect your information. No one can view or modify your personal information without knowing your username and password; so do not share it with anyone.
OF THE APPLICATION
If for any reason you believe that Multi-Doc has not adhered to these principles, please notify us at admin@multi-doc.ca. We will do our best to determine and correct the problem immediately. Remember to include "Privacy Policy" in the subject line.
ELECTRONIC PRODUCT REGISTRATION
When you purchase and install a new product, we may ask you to electronically register your purchase. When you complete this registration, we add the information you enter to any information you have already provided (this information is called your personal profile). If you have not previously registered with us, we create a personal profile for you based on the information you enter when purchasing the product. If you wish to view or update your information at any time, you can visit the Profile Center and click Update My Profile to change any personal information in your profile. If you have not yet created a login, we will ask you to do so. This ensures that only you will have access to YOUR information.
CUSTOMER PROFILES
As mentioned above, every registered customer has a unique profile. Each profile is assigned a unique personal identification number, which allows us to ensure that only you can access your profile. When you register, we create your profile, grant you a personal identification number, and send your identification number to your hard drive in the form of a cookie, a tiny code. This code is assigned only to you. It's your passport to unhindered browsing on doc.ca; you can download free software, order free newsletters, and visit restricted areas of the site without having to fill out a form with information you've already provided. Even if you change computers, you won't have to register again; simply use your username to log in.
WHAT WE DO WITH THE INFORMATION YOU PROVIDE
When you register with us, you provide contact information, including your name and email address. We use this information to send you updates on your orders, surveys to assess your satisfaction with our services, and announcements about special new services we offer. When you place an order with us, we ask for your credit card number and billing address. We only use this information to bill you for the products you currently order. For your convenience, we retain your billing information in case you order again, but we do not use this information again without your permission.
From time to time, we ask other companies to perform limited services on our behalf, including packaging, mailing, and delivering orders, answering customer questions about our products and services, sending postal mail, and processing event registrations. We provide these companies with the information they need to perform these services and prohibit them from using this information for any other purpose.
Multi-Doc may disclose your information, without notice, if required to do so by law or if, in good faith, it believes such action is necessary to: (a) confirm the declaration of the law or comply with legal process served on Multi-Doc or the site; and (b) to protect and defend the rights or property of Multi-Doc and its family of websites and (c) act in urgent circumstances to protect the personal safety of visitors to Multi-Doc, its sites, or the public.
